About this event

The aim of this workshop is to give all health professionals evidence-based information on how to effectively engage in conversations about health and weight with their patients, as part of routine care.

Learning outcomes:

  • Identify the personal and environmental factors that lead to weight gain
  • Suggest communication techniques that support patient engagement and improve outcomes
  • Evaluate the importance of cognitive-behavioural therapy for successful weight management
